The Hon. Karen Arnold-Burger is presiding judge of the Overland Park Municipal Court, making her responsible for the administration of the municipal court system in addition to judicial duties. A Republican, she was formerly Assistant City Attorney for Overland Park, and was an Assistant US Attorney for the District of Kansas, before her 1991 appointment to the Municipal Court, which she became presiding judge of in 1996.
Judge Arnold-Burger is popular with her peers in the Johnson County legal community. The JoCo Bar Association awarded her its highest honor, and she serves on the 10th Judicial District Nominating Commission as a representative of the legal profession.
Karen Arnold-Burger is a 1981 Graduate of KU Law and the author of the book “Municipal Courts Records Management”, and has been involved in the Johnson County STOP Underage Drinking Project. She does not appear to have made any campaign contributions to State or Federal politicians, from public records available on the internet.
